Anti-graft drive foiled

Imphal, January 30 2014:
An anti-graft campaign themed 'Students Stand Against Corruption' supposed to be organised today by National Students' union of India, Manipur at MU campus did not materialise due to intervention by security force personnel deployed in the University.
Decrying the security force action of foiling the democratic campaign of fasting to highlight ills of corruption and demand stringent measures to check the menace, NSUI, Manipur unit president Th Bikram Khuman said today's event is a part of the Nation-wide campaign against corruption at high places.
He also informed that the campaign is a part of the ongoing movement to demand early passage of the Anti-Corruption Bill by the Parliament.
