MACSEA strike

As part of the all India strike called by the All India AIDS Control Employees' Association, the Manipur State AIDS Control Society Employees' Association (MACSEA) will launch indefinite strike from Jan 30 on various demands.
During the strike, all facilities of MACS like ICTC centres, DAPCU, STI, ART, OST, Mobile ICTC, blood safety including MACS head office will remain closed until the fulfilment of the demands or further notification from AIACEA, said a statement issued by the MACSEA.
The demands of the employees included regularisation of all employees under Dept of AIDS Control; payment of salary at par and with all benefits entitled to Central Govt employees till regularisation; implementation of revised salary from April 2012, continuation of all employees' service; immediate withdrawal of new salary order and termination of committed members who made the new salary structure.
The MACSEA urged all concerned stakeholders, PLHA networks, NGOs/CBOs to extend support and bear the inconveniences until the demands are fulfilled.
