Imphal, September 14 2013 :
Terming the blast incident that killed nine migrant workers yesterday at Nagamapal as 'very unfortunate,' the Manipur People's Party (MPP) has urged all concerned to desist from such in- humane act so that the land is not clubbed together with other Indian States where killings and violence occur over caste or religion matters.
In a statement, MPP spokesman H Naba-shyam urged the State Govt to look into the matter and take serious steps instead of resorting to the standard form of condemnation.
The Govt should zero-in to the core issues that might have prompted such ugly incidents like unhindered influx of illegal migrants from Bangladesh and Nepal through Assam, etc.
Taking a dig at the CM's show of emotions and sentiments whenever such incident occurred, the MPP urged the CM that sentiment and emotion do not solve problems.
It further appealed the CM to deal such issues with the understanding and vision that such problems call for.
