Imphal, June 09 2016:
Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) has pledged support to the KSA-sponsored 48-hours bandh to be effective from 5 pm of June 11 .
On the other hand, IPAK urged the Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills to shorten its 10-day economic blockade on National Highways considering the inconvenience and hardships of the public.
In a statement, IPAK urged the hill and valley people to collectively press the Government to enforce the Bengal Eastern Frontier Regulation, 1873 in Manipur.
It observed that the regulation would protect the indigenous people as well as integrity of the State.
