Senapati, May 04, 2013:
Confirming the joint decision of the Senapati District Students' Association and Kuki Student's Organization Sadar Hills to organize a cultural and musical concert on May 24, a joint press statement of the two bodies has appealed for public participation and support from stake holders of the District.
Titled as the Gospel Musical Concert with the theme "building relation through music," gospel musicians/artistes drawn from both the Kuki and Naga communities will sing out for communal harmony at Senapati public ground DHQ.
It stated that the programme is aimed to spread the message of "love and peace" through gospel music to various communities living in Senapati District.
An initiative that was long anticipated and attempted by the student's body to promote better relations and peaceful co-existence among the Kuki and Naga brothers, the student's bodies have appealed to all the politicians, social workers, DLOs, and the general public to support the programme physically, spiritually and through resources.
It has also especially appealed to all the Church pastors and leaders of different denominations to offer their valuable prayers for the grand success of the said programme.
