The Hill Autonomous District Council Employees who have been assigned election duties have been asked to perform their duties sincerely.
General Secretary of AMDCTA, Tual Khan Lal in a press hand out stated that considering the directive of the Chief Secretary of Manipur instructing the Deputy Commissioners of the five hill districts, namely Senapati, Tamenglong, Churachandpur, Chandel and Ukhrul to release the pending salaries of the employees under the Hill Autonomous District Councils w.e.f.November, 2008 to February, 2009, it is necessary for all the employees to perform their polling duties as a national duty.
However, the ongoing pendown strike whci began on April 6, will continue untill the pending 12% dearness allowance w.e.f July 1, 2008 and the pending 14% dearness allowance w.e.f April 1, 2001 to June 30, 2005 are released in the interest of the employees, stated the press handout.
