Flash flood continues in Senapati district

Senapati, July 29 2017:
More reports of flash flood caused by the recent rain continues to pour in from the remote areas of the district, with regard to damage of paddy fields .
Villagers of the Western part of the district, Willong area and Yangkhullen area, reported much damage to paddy fields lying beside the tributary and streams of Barak river .
It is reported that about 75 percent of the paddy fields have been destroyed.
The village authority of Rajaimei, a village on the bank of Barak river, also reported that as many as 10 families of Radat, Ngaviiramsum, and Ngarikpahii have lost their paddy fields due to the flood.
