Assam Rifles saves snake bite victim

Imphal, July 16 2015 :
The medical team of 41 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of 84 years old snake bite victim on July 14 identified as H Ngalangzar (84), of Siruhi village under Ukhrul district.
According to a press statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (S), he was bitten by a venomous snake on right hand and was brought to the unit hospital in a critical condition.
The victim was immediately attended to by the medical team led by Medical Officer who injected life saving anti snake venom.
