Training programme begins

Imphal, April 09 2016 :
A two-day digital literacy training programme
jointly organised by Community Development Cell and Commu-
nity College of Manipur University began today at Manipur
University.
According to a statement, the programme is being held as
part of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA).
50 selected unemployed youths of five adopted villages of
the MU namely Kyamgei, Thongju Part-II, Langthabal Kunja,
Langthabal Chingthak and Chingkha, Langthabal Mantrikhong
took part in the programme.
The inaugural session of the programme was attended by
Prof HNK Sarma, VC, MU and Prof N Mohilal Meitei, Dean,
Students' Welfare, MU as the chief guest and president respec-
tively.
On the first day, Dr Ch Ibohal Singh, Nodal Officer, UBA
and coordinator of CDC, MU gave a general orientation on
UBA and role of MU and a talk on understanding MS-Office.
Dr L Prabhakar, coordinator of CC, MU delivered a lecture
on ICT fundamentals and digital India.
In the technical session-I, M Manganleima, faculty, IT,
Community College handled module-I working with MS-word
with hands on practice, the statement said.
