Army gifts bus shelter to Leimakhong

Imphal, February 12 2009:
A newly constructed bus shelter by the local people of Leimakhong and Prem Nagar villages with assistance by 557 Army Service Corps Battalion of Red Shield Division as a part of MCA programme has been inaugurated today, conveyed a PIB(DW) release.
The bus stand will provide shelter to the local people from rain and sun while waiting for buses and other passenger vehicles.
It will also provide a centralised place for the 2500 strong local people to catch passenger vehicles going to Imphal and other places, said the statement from PIB further.
