Help to snake bite victims

Imphal, July 06 2017:
Medical team of 5 JAK RIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of one snake bite victim on July 4 .
According to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S), the victim W Abungcha Singh of Bamdir Matha of Imphal West was bitten by a poisonous snake while he was working in fields and was immediately rushed to the unit Hospital of 5 JAK RIF Battalion.
The victim was readily attended by the Medical team .
In another similar endeavour, Medical team of 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of one snake bite victim on July 4 .
The victim named Kh Laisha Devi (55) of Khangabok, Thoubal was bitten by a snake while fetching water from a pond and was immediately rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles.
The victim was readily attended by the medical team and necessary first aid was administered.
Later the victim was referred to District Hospital, Thoubal for further management, it added.
