Telescope presented

Imphal, July 28 2016:
Education Minister Dr Kh Ratankumar has
provided a telescope to Ronaldo Laishram, who discovered a main
belt asteroid MAUR 397 in 2014 and brought laurels to the State.
Ronaldo Laishram son of L Mahajon Singh and L Sanahanbi
Devi of Khangabok, Thoubal is a Summer Research fellow at
Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO.
He had received awards
from former President of India late Dr APJ Abdul Kalam and
Dr AS Kiran Kumar, Chairman, ISRO.
The Minister provided him a Telescope for his further
exploration and research, informed a statement.
Ronaldo
Laishram, who is now studying Computer Science engineer-
ing at JSS Science and Technological University (formerly
SJCE), Mysore expressed deep sense of respect and gratitude
to the Minister for his gift which will help him work with his own instrument.
