Free medical camp held at Leimaram

Imphal, August 24 2014:
Troops of 12 BIHAR of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR(South) organised a free medical cum screening camp at Leimaram Govt High School in collaboration with RIMS and ABBOTT India Ltd under the Military Civic Action Programme today.
The camp was inaugurated by Brig V T Mathew Commander 9 Sector Assam Rifles who highlighted that the medical care and health education is paramount to achieve the greater aim of nation building at the grass root level in remote areas.
Around 530 villagers including 202 men, 247 women and 81 children benefited from the camp during which specialist doctors from RIMS diagnosed the patients for medical, surgical, gynecological, eye & ENT problems.
The patients with much severe symptoms were referred to government hospitals/ RIMS rest were given free medicines prescriptions, according to a statement issued by PRO IGAR (S) .
