Aid provided to snake bite victim

Imphal, August 17 2022:
Loktak Battalion of IGAR (S) on Wednesday extended lifesaving medical assistance to one Akimkom (29) a resident of Khoirentak village in Churachandpur district who was bitten by a venomous snake on the right foot.
According to PRO IGAR (S), Akimkom was rushed by the villagers to the Unit hospital of Assam Rifles at Kangvai with symptoms of gross local swelling and fever.
The medical staff examined and immediately rendered lifesaving medical care along with anti-snake venom administration.
and stabilised her condition.
She was referred to District hospital for further management.
