AR celebrates Children's Day

Kangpokpi, November 15 2018:
The Assam Rifles under the aegis of Red Shield Division reached out to orphanage on the occasion of Children's Day yesterday at Agape Children Home, Kpi with a motive to give them a big smile on the auspicious day.
The 38 Assam Rifles Post at Kangpokpi distributed sweets and different kinds of gift among the destitute children and gave them big smiles.
The Home father, H Joseph Kipgen appreciated the goodwill gesture of the AR.
"Assam Rifles always come in as a solace and helper for the Agape Children Home on every National events for the children," he said.
Meanwhile, Units/Sectors under command IGAR (South) celebrated Children's Day on 129th birth anniversary of Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru yesterday.
A total of 3,870 children from five schools of Pallel town celebrated Children's Day with the 26 Sector AR.
Panting competition, local educational tour for the students and motivation lectures were organised.
Sweets, stationery, sports items and solar lamps were distributed to the children and villagers.
