Imphal, July 11 2015 :
The effigies of chief minister Okram Ibobi and his wife and MLA Okram Landhoni were burned at Pishum Oinam Leikai on Saturday afternoon.
Police had to fire several rounds of tear gas canisters.
The effigy of the chief minister was also burned at Samurou market at 4 PM.
Meanwhile police who rushed there had taken away four boys.
Police had to fire tear gas shells to disperse the people.
The effigies of Okram Ibobi and Gaikhangam were also burned at Luwangsangpham and Sawombung.
