Imphal, October 06, 2009:
Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) has decided not to host the 'Chingmi-Tammi Ningol Chakouba' this year in view of the prevailing 'unfavourable' state of affairs, according to a statement signed by MCM president L Imobi and secretary N Inaocha Meitei.
However, the statement informed that the 'Ningol Chakouba' will be held in case the law and order situation of the state improves before the Ningol Chakouba.
The MCM has been hosting a feast for 'sisters' of various communities of the hills of Moreh area every year with presentation of gifts.
Owing to the unfavourable condition of the state, the MCM is in no mood to host festival, according to the statement.
