OPD to remain shut over UG demand

Jiribam, October 27 2011:
Normal functioning of the OPD in the lone Community Health Centre (CHC) of Jiribam would remain shut on October 29 and 30 in protest against monetary demands of some UG groups.
Medical Officer in-charge of the health centre Dr AK Das convened a joint meeting with the representatives of various civil organizations and Meira Paibi bodies of Jiribam to discuss the matter in the afternoon today.
On the other hand, the staffs of the health centre have decided to shut down the operation of OPD on October 29 and 30 to protest against the monetary demands of UG groups.
