First aid training capsule

In solidarity with the residents of interior border areas, Assam Rifles is conducting regular health care programs
for them.
These programs are aimed at not only attending to the
sick persons, but also in enabling them to stay fit and healthy.
Under Operation Sadbhavana, a new initiative has been
started by 4 Assam Regiment of 26 Sector Assam Rifles
under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (South) to educate villagers of
Khengjoi sub-division in Chandel district, said a press release
issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S).
A three day first aid training module was conducted in
which people were made to practice, learn and implement
methods of management of snake bite, fracture, bleeding con-
trol, spinal and head injury cases.
20-25 individuals attended
the said training capsule which also included some persons
from Khampat village in Myanmar.
A concerted effort in dispensing medical aid has not only
ameliorated their sufferings but also instilled faith and hope in
people of remote border areas, added the press release.
