Imphal, May 27 2017:
Extending yet another humanitarian service, the medical team of 5 JAKRIF of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of one snake bite victim on May 23 .
Kh Amit Singh of Bishnupur district was bitten by a snake and was immediately rushed to the unit hospital.
After necessary first aid was administered, he was referred him to RIMS for further treatment.
In another endeavour, one Milen (26) of Laishingthem, Thoubal district who was bitten by a snake while farming was saved by 2 Assam Rifles at the unit hospital.
He was referred to Thoubal district hospital after being administered first-aid.
