Quake jolts NE

Imphal, October 30 2015 :
An earthquake of slight intensity jolted India's North Eastern States and parts of Bangladesh in the early hours of Friday, an official said.
However, there were no immediate reports of casualties or damage to property.
"The quake, measuring 4.9 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 3.45 am and had its epicentre in Assam's Karimganj district bordering Bangladesh," a seismologist of the Central Seismological Centre, told IANS.
The earthquake was felt in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, and adjoining areas of NE region, besides parts of Bangladesh.
It lasted 10 to 12 seconds.
