Snake bite victim saved

Imphal, April 02 2017:
Medical team of 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) saved the life of one snake bite victim yesterday.
Mala (40) of Ukhongsang, Thoubal district was bitten by a snake while farming.
She was immediately rushed to the unit hospital of 2 Assam Rifles Battalion and was attended by the medical team.
After administering first aid, the victim was referred to District Hospital, Thoubal for further treatment.
The timely action of Assam Rifles medical team not only saved Mala's life but also reinforced good faith among the locals of Ukhongsang.
