Imphal, September 01 2016:
Socialist Students' Union of Manipur (SSUM)
in a statement has demanded the State Government to invalidate the
certificates of the supplementary Teacher Eligibility Test (TET)
held on August 29 as it was held for only 90 marks instead of 150
marks per norms of NMCTE and RTE.
The Union held a meeting with All Manipur Pre-Primary
Trained Teachers Association at its office today to discuss the
recently held TET and resolved to urge the Government to
bring out an education policy on TET giving clarification on
various issues regarding the norms of the Test applicable in
the State.
Further the Union warned the Government that it may
resort to different forms of agitation if its demands are not
heeded.
