Free dental camp conducted
Indian Dental Association, Manipur State branch conducted a free one-day dental and oral health check-up camp at Lai Moriba community hall, Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai today.
Altogether 150 patients were examined and treated during the dental camp which was attended by 16 dental surgeons and supporting staff.
Advent Christmas celebrated
Komrem Baptist Church, Komrem Students Union and Komrem Grater Fellowship jointly celebrated Komrem Advent Christmas at Adimjati complex today.
Champion boxer MC Mary Kom also attended the celebration which witnessed different colourful programmes.
Thang Hai competition
Ningthoukhongjam Khelchandra Singh Charitable Trust will organise a State level Thang Hai Leiteng Haiba competition on December 26 and 27at Uripok Achom Leikai.
The competition will be held in two different categories.

Advisory board formed
Parents and teachers of Sacred Heart School, Yairipok convened a meeting and formed an advisory board today.
7 office bearers were also elected during the meeting.
UMAPO team to meet HRD Minister
A four-member team of United Meitei and Pangal Organisation (UMAPO) has left Imphal for Delhi today to meet HRD Minister Smriti Irani.
The objective of the tour is to apprise her of the poor functioning of Government schools and colleges and to bring about wholesome changes in education sector in Manipur, according to a press release issued by the president of UMAPO.
EEKHAL condoles
Eeramdam Khorjei Apunba Lup (EEKHAL), Manipur has condoled the sudden demise of its executive member Thounaojam Tomba Meetei on December 8 by observing two minutes silence today at the residence of its president Maibam Nabakishore.
The gathering also prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
UGHDC submits memo to CM
United Golapati Hatta Development Council (UGHDC) has submitted memorandum to the CM seeking repairing of roads in Golapati areas which remained unrepaired for the last 20 years, according to a press release issued by the convenor of UGHDC.
Maharaja approves holding of seminar
The Maharaja of Manipur has granted permission for holding of a seminar on "Tangkhul Nurabi" by UKAL and informed that the findings arrived at the seminar may be submitted to the Sana Konung for necessary approval, according to a press release issued by the secretary of Uttra Secretariat, Sana Konung.
Workshop ends
A six-day workshop on Youth Empowerment Skills Plus (YES!+) organised by the Art of Living for the students of CIPET, Imphal concluded at CIPET campus located at Takyelpat today.
Over 60 students took part in the worskhop which was conducted under the guidance of Art of Living faculties Laishram Dixon and Anita Elangbam.
VA condemns
Gangluan Village Authority, Khoupum subdivision has strongly condemned the shooting of a JCB driver of Keystone Company by unknown miscreants on Dec 9 at Nunglei.
In a statement, Gangluan VA termed the act as 'anti-development' and 'anti-social' which is hampering social development in the area.
The VA urged the individuals/group concerned to refrain from such barbaric acts.
Seized goods to be disposed
Customs Division, Imphal will destroy seized/confiscated miscellaneous goods which are unfit for human consumption on Dec 17 at 10 am at Central Revenue Complex, Imphal West, according to an official source.
