Training programme for drivers kicks off

Imphal, September 28 2019:
School for Driving and Automobile Technology (SODAT), Lamphel and Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Imphal jointly kicked off a 3-day refresher training programme for drivers on "Hazardous goods carrying for Pol TT Crews" at Malom Depot (Indian Oil), Imphal West yesterday.

Transport Department Joint Director BK Sharma, SP (Traffic) Kh Sarma, IOC, Malom Depot manager T Dharambir and SODAT secretary E Ramesh attended the inaugural event as presidium members.
SODAT founder member Thangjam Ibochouba said that the training programme is being conducted to provide precautionary measures and information required to drivers of vehicles which carry hazardous loads/goods such as oil/petroleum to avoid disasters.
The refresher training programme is conducted every three months, he said.
