Destruction of Babri Masjid remembered

The 36th anniversary of the destruction ofBabri Masjid was observed under the aegis of Left Co-ordinating Committee Manipur, at Irawat Bhawan today.
Speaking at the event, secretary of CPI, Manipur, L Sotinkumar said that the day is observed by Left parties all over India in memory of the destruction of Babri Masjid at Faziabad, UP, by RSS Sanga Pariwar in 1992 claiming that site to be the temple of Lord Ram.
Sotinkumar explained that the observation also happens to fall on the death anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar who was responsible for the Constitution of India and narrated that Dr Ambedkar contributed greatly in ushering in secularism in the country.
CPI (M) Manipur Secretary, Ksh Shanta, CPI leader Dr Badar Uddin, Zilla Parishad Member (Kshetrigao) MD Noor Islam, president of Kangleipak Muslim Chanura Marup, Sitara Begum and All India Tanzeem E-Insaf, MD Islauddin also attended the event as the presidium members.
