Dry Day has been declared in the whole State on April 11, April 18 and May 23 in view of the Lok Sabha election.
Excise Commissioner B John Tlangtinkhuma issued a notice to this effect on March 28 .
It said that no spirituous, fermented or intoxicating liquor or other substances of like nature shall be sold, given or distributed at hotel, eating house, tavern, shop or any other place, public or private within polling areas during the period of 28 hours ending with the hour fixed for the conclusion of poll.
The public notice covers all the liquor licence holders including exempted categories, it mentioned.
