248 under surveillance

Imphal, February 17 2020:
The number of people who have been kept under surveillance considering their recent travel history in connection with the outbreak of COVID-19 has reached 248 .
While one more sample was sent from the State to the National Institute of Virology, Pune today for COVID-19 test, altogether 11 passengers who came to the State through different entry points were also screened today.
Out of nine samples sent from the State to the National Institute of Virology, Pune today for COVID-19 test, results of seven have been received while those of the other two are awaited.
All the seven results received so far say that the samples are negative for COVID-19, according to a press release issued by Additional Director, Health Dr L Arke.
