Bodies congratulate
Manipur SSB Pensioners' Welfare Association (MSSBPWA) has congratulated O Nabakishore on being appointed as the Chief Secretary of Manipur.
In a statement, MSSBPWA wished the new Chief Secretary for success in every endeavour.
Senior Citizens for Society, Bishnupur has also congratulated O Nabakishore on being appointed as the Chief Secretary of Manipur.
Medical camp
24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs IGAR (S) conducted a medical camp at Khudengthabi yesterday.
Free medical check-ups, distribution of medicines, lectures and counselling sessions on health and hygiene were the main highlights of the camp, said a press release issued by PRO Hqs IGAR (S) .
Locals including elders and children of Khudengthabi and adjoining areas participated in the medical camp.
Fogging still on
With ten people testing positive for Dengue, fogging has been going on at Churachandpur and the State Malaria Officer and his team visited the district today.
There is however no new development.
No new samples were sent for test today, according to the CMO.
Association urges Govt
Stating that Tombisana High School is a historical education institution of the State, Peoples Development Association (PDA) has urged the State Government not to abolish the school.
In a statement, the association urged the Government to upgrade the school instead of setting up a market shed at the area.
Search ops
Imphal West district police commandos carried out a search operation in and around Iroisemba today around 4 pm.
About 40 people were taken to Lamphel PS for verification and identification, said a source.
Power disconnected
Power connection of three consumers under DGM/IED-II, MSPDCL have been disconnected today for extension of service line to the neighbours and non-acceptance of prepaid metering.
According to a statement, the consumers whose connections were disconnected are Kh Dillip Singh, Jeeky Mutum and M Mohon Singh, all from Leimajam Leikai.
MSF condoles
The Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has condoled the demise of retired Judge Ch Upendra, who passed away on Sept 29 .
Executive members and volunteers of MSF observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
The students' body, in a statement, recalled the contributions of Ch Upendra for the State.
Cleanliness rally
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, Development Committee, Ward No 1 and Ward No 2, Yairipok Municipal Council today organised a cleanliness rally.
The rally was participated by AK Sobha, Councillor, Ward No 2, Yairipok Municipal Council and locals.
