Security meeting for Modi visit held

Manipur Government on Tuesday held a security meeting for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit on November 30 .
Modi will attend the closing function of the annual Sangai Festival at the invitation of the Manipur Government here on November 30.The security meeting presided over by Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh was attended by his Cabinet colleagues, Principal Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu, DGP of Manipur Police Shahid Ahmed and other top officials.
The meeting was held at the Chief Minister's Bunaglow at 3 pm, official sources informed.
Earlier, the Manipur Government reportedly planned to receive the Prime Minister at Kangla Fort on his arrival in Imphal in an hour-long visit to the state.
But the helicopter which will transport Modi to Imphal will land at the Imphal Tulihal International Airport.
Security measures to be taken up for the Modi's visit were carefully discussed during the meeting, the sources said.
