Chandel, August 23 2015:
Meetei Council Moreh (MCM) and All Community Development Organization, Moreh (ACODOM) have demanded compensation from the State Government for the properties damaged during the recent violent confrontation at Moreh.
A joint statement issued by MCM and ACODOM said although the tension between the two communities have been resolved, shopowners whose shops were vandalised in the clash remain devastated after losing their only source of livelihood.
The joint statement also appealed to the masses to donate monetary aids for the affected shopowners to make up for their loss in the unfortunate incident.
