Imphal, May 21 2016 :
Theiva village has strongly reacted against the
statement of Paomai Naga Union (PNU) and
termed their clarification as baseless and un-
founded, reports Mungchan Zimik.
Deacons of Theiva Baptist Church along
with the village authority members held a
press conference today at UDWJA office,
Viewland.
Strongly condemning on the state-
ment of the PNU, the village authority
members and Church leaders said that PNU
general assembly was held at Theiva Village
without the consent of the village authority.
PNU has misled the public by issuing
false clarification.
The damaged Church
foundation stone and monument are still ly-
ing in the Church premises.
The incident has been captured in camera
for evidence.
One of the Church Deacons
asserted that Theiva village was amalga-
mated in the Purul sub-division and there are
more than 30 Tangkhul villages in Senapati
district.
He urged PNU to understand and
respect the identity of every for peaceful co-
existence.
