As a part of its extensive campaign to bring
quality education in the State, a team of the Democratic Students'
Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) H/O visited Kameng Upper Pri-
mary school to look into the present state of affairs of the school
and came across lack of teachers, infrastructure etc.
It said that there are only five teachers for 70-odd students and
there are no teachers for every subject.
The team also came across lack of classrooms, desks and benches
with classes I and II students sharing the same room.
It has appealed to the concerned authority to look into the prob-
lems faced by Kameng Upper Primary school and addressed it at
the earliest, a statement issued by the secretary, publicity and propa-
