AR recovers banned wildlife products, drugs

Imphal, October 05 2011:
Troops of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector under HQ IGAR (South) in an operation in general area of Khudengthabi apprehended a drug peddler along with drugs and banned wildlife products on Tuesday.
He was identified as Zothasang (25) son of late Hemson of Chamol, Tegnoupal.
2,46,000 pieces (75 kgs) of Mucoson tablets, 21 kgs of Pangolin shells and one Mobile phone were recovered from him.
In another incident, the Unit launched an operation in general area of Kondong, Leirambi temple of Chandel district and apprehended one another drugs peddler on the same day.
He was identified as Lunkholet (30) son of late Letpao of New Lamka, Churachandpur.
One bottle (approximate 15 gms) of Heroin (No.4), one Mobile phone and Rs.750 in Indian currency were recovered from him.
The apprehended persons along with the recoveries were handed over to Narcotic Control Bureau and Wild Life Department, Imphal.
