Imphal, October 31 2019:
Amidst the uncertain law and order situation in the State over Naga Peace Talk, Youth's Forum for Protection of Human Rights (YFPHR) has said that it is deeply concerned with the security forces stationed at Modern Collage and MB College.
"We strongly object and oppose the nature of steps taken up by the Government of India." Occupying educational institutions and making it as a transitional point for the military is serious concern and violates International Humanitarian Law," it said in a statement yesterday.
It urged Government to protect civilians and remove the security forces stationed in the educational institutes.
