For 2nd time in Apr State logs nil cases

Even as increasing Covid cases has led to apprehension of a fourth wave in parts of the country including Delhi, where a large number of people from Manipur stay, including students, the State reported zero Covid cases for the second time after a gap of six days as all the 239 samples tested in the last 24 hours returned negative.
The last time Manipur saw no Covid cases in a span of 24 hours was on April 22 .
According to COVID-19 Common Control Room, no Covid deaths were also reported in the period and as such the death toll remains unchanged at 2120.The total number of Covid cases remains unchanged from the previous day at 1,37,217, including 17 active and 1,35,080 recovered cases.
The recovery rate, on the other hand, is 98.44 per cent.
The State has fully vaccinated 51.24 per cent of its eligible population while another 61.66 per cent have been partially vaccinated.
Yesterday, 300 D-type and 92 B-type oxygen cylinders were distributed to different health care centres across the State and in the period 3194 Covid vaccine doses were also administered.
