Candidate aspirant assures development

Inspector General of Police (Retd) N Kipgen assured residents of Manedara Nepali village to contribute his mite in the overall development of the tiny hamlet, which is situated close to Keithelmanbi Gopibung village in Sadar Hills.
Attending an interaction programme with the locals today, N Kipgen, who had already announced his intention to contest the next assembly election, iterated that his preference to work for the welfare of the people is the driving force behind his decision to leave aside a comfortable life after retirement.
On behalf of the villagers, Manedara GB Chandra Prasad Parajuli highlighted various grievances of the local residents who had been settled in the area before World War II .
He also stated that no development work has ever been initiated by the Government in the village and assured the former police officer of all possible assistance and cooperation in N Kipgen's future endeavour.
