Govt seeks inputs for TFFM

Imphal, September 19 2019:
The State Government, with support from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, is setting up a state-of-the-art Tribal Freedom Fighters' Museum (TFFM) to display and showcase the lives and contributions of prominent tribal freedom fighters of the State who spearheaded the freedom struggle against British rulers since 1857.The State Government is in the process of identifying all mass movements/uprisings by tribal community and number of tribal people killed, imprisoned etc during those movements.
In this regard, verifiable detailed information with supporting documents/evidence on the life, role and contribution of tribal freedom fighter(s) of the State who fought against British colonialism are invited from learned scholars, historians, intellectuals and public, conveyed a notification issued by TA& Hills/TRI Director C Arthur Worchuiyo.
Specific information like date and place of birth and death, role in freedom movement along with periods of involvement and duration of imprisonment, if any etc, along with other relevant details may be submitted to TA& Hills/TRI Director on or before October 20 during office hours.
