Har Ghar Tiranga campaign held across State

Joining the rest of the country, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign was carried out across the State today to commemorate 75 glorious years of India's Independence.
BISHNUPUR
Union Minister of State, Education & External Affairs, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh hoisted the National Flag today at the historic INA Memorial Complex, Moirang in Bishnupur district.
The programme was organised by District Administration Bishnupur as a part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
The MoS paid floral tributes to the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra.
He also led the cleaning of the INA replica and its surroundings.
Family members of martyrs were also felicitated during the function.
The event was attended by Education Minister, Th Basantakumar; Thanga AC MLA and MSPCL chairman, T Robindro; Moirang AC MLA, Th Shanti Singh; Oinam AC MLA, Irengbam Nalini Devi; LDA Chairman, M Ashnikumar Singh; Phungyar AC MLA, Leishiyo Keishing; DC Bishnupur, L Bikram, IAS; Director Education (S), Laishram Nandakumar Singh; Inspector General of STC-BSF Churachandpur, UK Nayal; and SP Bishnupur, N Herojit as presidium members.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh stated that there cannot be a better place other than Moirang to hoist the tricolour in celebration of India's Independence.
"People of Manipur can take pride in Moirang as it best symbolizes our freedom struggle which will be etched forever in the annals of India's freedom struggle", he added.
The MoS also mentioned that India has made significant advancement in the sphere of technology and agricultural sector after independence.
"The price of freedom that our heroic forefathers paid is high, as it comes with blood, sweat and tears", said the Minister while encouraging the younger generation to enjoy the fruits of freedom in igniting their dreams for an inclusive and prosperous Manipur and India.
He also urged the younger generation to transcend the spiritual freedom, freedom of development and freedom of politics in the true spirit of patriotism adding that they are the Future of India.
NCC officers and cadets in large numbers, students, local communities, and Government officials also participated in the Flag hoisting event.
Troops of STC BSF Churachandpur led by Umesh Kumar Nayal also organised a wreath laying ceremony to the martyrs of INA, guard of honour and presentation of Rashtriya Salute.
Moreover, Lourembam Bikram also flagged off a Tiranga Bicycle Mass Rally from Mini Secretariat Bishnupur to India Peace Memorial located at the foothill of Maibam Lokpa Ching along the Tiddim Road stretch.
Representatives from 50 Common Service Centres-Special Purpose Vehicle CSC-SPV, Government officials and police personnel took part in the rally.
Ejaj Hassan (AC to DC), Keisham Jayabati Devi (Informatics Officer, DIT Bishnupur) and Rajkumar Sunil (District Manager, DIT Bishnupur) also took part in the event.
The event was organised by District Administration Bishnupur in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology Bishnupur along with CSC and SPV of the district.
The Medical and Police departments of the district supported the event for any medical emergencies and necessary security measures respectively.
As part of the programme, Nambol Municipal Council also organised a cultural programme at India Peace Memorial while Kumbi Municipal Council distributed and hoisted the National Tricolour Flag.
Har Ghar Tiranga was also observed at 3 Senior Citizens Home for Older persons at Naranseina, Ngaikhong Siphai and Kumbi.
KAKCHING
To commemorate 75 years of India's Independence, District Administration Kakching today organised a Mass Rally as a part of HGT campaign.
The rally was carried out from DC Complex Kakching to Kakching Bazar.
The mass rally was participated by DC Kakching, Somorjit Salam, IAS; SP Kakching, Shrey Vats, IPS; staff of DC office; District Level Officers and their staff; Anganwadi workers, ASHAs and Local Clubs.
Earlier, ICDS Project, Kakching hoisted the National flag in their office today.
SENAPATI
Staff of State Bank of India (SBI) Senapati also organised HGT campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav at its Office premise in Senapati DHQ.
During the event, Simon Peter, LDM Senapati delivered a lecture on "Partition of India" while Paul Lanah, ABM SBI Senapati branch proposed the vote of thanks.
The participants also sang the National Anthem.
THOUBAL
As a part of HGT campaign, District Administration and DIT Thoubal in collaboration with CSC-SPV (Common Service Center-Special purpose Vehicle) today organised a bicycle rally from Thoubal Mini Secretariat to Mela Ground.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A Subhash Singh, IAS.
SP Thoubal, Jogeshchandra Haobijam and ADM Thoubal, B Lokeshor Sharma also participated in the rally accompanied by about 50 CSC members from the District.
Moreover, Armed Forces Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (AFESWA) in association with Adhoc Zila Sainik Board (AZSB) Thoubal and 16 AR B Company also organised HGT campaign at AZSB office in 16 AR B Company complex, Thoubal Tomjing.
During the event, AFESWA president, retired Wing Commander Ak Deben Singh hoisted the Indian National Flag.
AFESWA secretary, retired Subedar M Khogendra Singh; AZAB secretary, Subedar Major (Hony Capt) S Yaima Singh; 16 AR B Company Commander Major A Rahul Singh; candidates of Agnipath Prerecruitment training Thoubal; and widows of ex-servicemen attended the event.
Similarly, Rural Voluntary Services (RVS), Wangbal Mayai Leikai also conducted the HGT campaign at Eramdam Ningol Sanglen (Open shelter for Girls), Wangbal today.
It was attended by Wangbal GP pradhan, H Manichandra, MCPCR member, Kh Jitendra; Wangbal GP ward member, L Ibotombi and N Khomdonbi as presidium members.
Meanwhile, to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence, State BJP leader, Wilubou Newmai along with ExADC members, village chairmen and youth leaders distributed the National flag to the villagers of remote areas to promote the HGT campaign.
Wilubou and his team also visited Government schools and interacted with the students and sang the National Anthem with the children.
Wilubou Newmai informed that the team had reached out to the people living in some of the remote and hilly parts of the State who hardly see and know the true meaning of Tiranga.
"The campaign is nonpolitical and non-partisan.
It is to give every citizen of India a chance to demonstrate their patriotism and love for their country", said Wilubou while lauding the efforts of all those who are toiling hard to make the country a better and safer place.
He also implored the people living in the remote and hilly areas of Manipur to support the HGT initiative envisaged by PM Narendra Modi by hoisting the National Flag at their homes.
