Imphal, July 05 2011:
While expressing its deepest regret over irregular services to subscribers of Moreh town in the past few days, SDO Telecom (chandel) has informed that normal service has been restored from 4 pm of July 4 .
Residents of Moreh had burned their BSNL equipments in protest yesterday.
Regarding the irregular service, a statement issued by the SDO cited road development work by the State PWD in the past few days frequently snapping optical fibre cable connecting Imphal to Moreh as the main cause.
BSNL will install a satellite link between Imphal and Moreh and also plans to install a high bandwidth STM mw system in the new future, the SDO said and added that through the said system, dependence on landbased OFC will be over resulting in cent percent stability.
The SDO also appealed to the subscribers to bear any inconveniences as efforts are being on to improve service.
