Lay off Eastern Nagaland : NSCN to GoI
Source: The Sangai Express

Imphal, February 05 2022: NSCN/GPRN has strongly denounced the Indian Government's noxious design to sow new seeds of divisions among Nagas, particularly in the Myanmar occupied Nagaland.

The outfit in a statement charged that the Indian Intelligence operatives are conspiring with some tainted Naga groups and individuals to incite disunity, hatred and tension among Nagas and destabilise the area taking advantage of the current political turmoil in Myanmar.

In order to maintain and balance its political influence on Myanmar, India has always played a double game in Myanmar politics and to this effect, India is aligning with both sides of the conflict and has presently targeted the Naga areas to benefit its nefarious interest, the outfit alleged.

There is irrefutable evidence of India and its proxies infiltrating into Eastern Nagaland to form new armed groups in the Naga areas along the "imposed boundary" to train and arm the innocent Naga youth and misguide and embroil them in the ongoing Myanmar conflict.

The development has created lots of confusion and misapprehension in the "Naga homeland", the outfit claimed.

The Nagas have never accepted India and Myanmar's long term divisive policy and for the freedom cause, the eastern Nagas have suffered unimaginable hardship in their quest to stay united with the western Naga brothers and rejected the illegal occupation of Myanmar since day one, the outfit said.

It also noted that the eastern Nagas are still haunted by the past atrocities of the Myanmar army and continue to live under constant state of fear and shock.

Nagas shared sympathy with the Myanmar people in their fight for democracy but will not allow political instability in Myanmar to divide Nagas, the outfit said while adding that it will never tolerate or accept anyone creating anti-Naga sentiment and alter the status-quo of the Nagas, particularly in eastern Nagaland.

Making it clear that it is not involved in the internal politics of either India or Myanmar and noting that the Nagas had made the fundamental choice long time ago to live as free people and not under totalitarian rule, the outfit said that it will fight with everything at its disposal to protect the unity and oneness of all Nagas.

The outfit further warned all those who are actively involved in forming a new armed group in Eastern Naga areas to immediately desist from the anti people activity or face stern action as per the law of the party.

It also appealed to every right thinking Nagas to deeply introspect on the gravity of the problem and report any such activities likely to affect the integrity and struggle of the Naga people.
