Imphal, March 04 2012:
Saying that there is likelihood of breach of peace and disturbance of public tranquillity in connection with counting of votes scheduled to be held on March 6, the District Magistrate of Thoubal has issued prohibitory orders under Sub-Section 2 of Section 144 CrPC with effect from 4 pm of March 5 until the counting of votes is over.
The prohibitory order to cover the whole of Thoubal district including Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency and Khangabok Assembly Constituency, forbids the movement of people from 4 pm to 6 am with effect from March 5, until further orders.
