26 Assam Rifles apprehends armed cadres of UNPC/CTLA

Working for the peace and prosperity of Manipur, 26 ASSAM RIFLES under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector Assam Rifles has nabbed the culprits who were involved in kidnapping of a truck driver Mr Adako Mao within 48 hours of the abduction thus tranquillising the communal tension.
On 28 Dec 17 Mr Adako Mao was kidnapped after armed assailants stopped his truck in Motbung Senapati district.
Abduction resulted in public rising and blockade of National highway.
Based on the specific input, 26 Assam Rifles along with Imphal East Commandos and Kangpokpi Police tracked the movements of the kidnappers and apprehended the individual at Lamlai Mayai Lekai while they were fleeing on NH 202.All the three cadres namely Redeemsion Muivah@Bruce Lee (21 yrs) S/O (L) Khaningkhai Muivah Muirei, Moirangthem Bungcha@Ishorjit Meitei (30 yrs) S/O (L) Ingoucha Meitei and Lamgoulun Misao@Paulneo (30 yrs) S/O (L) Kamsei Misao involved in the kidnapping belongs to UNPC/CTLA(United Naga People Council/Ching Tam Liberation Army).
One 9 mm pistol along with 05 live rounds, 03 Mobile phones and one Honda Dio Scooter (Regd No MN-015E/0213) was seized from the possession of the arrestee.
The individuals were booked at Lamlai Police Station on 30 December 2017 .
