MSF units to scan exam centres

Declaring that monitoring squads would be formed to check use of unfair means in class 10 and 12 examinations of BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE, Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) urged the Government of Manipur for ensuring regular power supply to enable the student community concentrate on their studies.
While MSF vice president Nongthombam Ibomcha said focus of the monitoring squad would be on exam-related activities of CBSE affiliated schools, general secretary of the student organisation Oinam Nandababu asserted that school authorities as well as candidate concerned should face the consequences if found assisting or indulging in unfair means.
Speaking to newspersons at its head office today, Nandababu said MSF will not tolerate use of unfair means in the upcoming examinations as part of its campaign to eliminate the scourge of unfair means.
Seeking cooperation of the general public in the MSF endeavour to promote quality education in the State, the general secretary also announced that light night entertainment programmes, including tambola (housie), would be banned from January month till the examinations conclude.
He also appealed to the State Government to ensure regular power supply with immediate effect.
