Subsequently, the CJM remanded the Meira Paibi leader to judicial custody for 15 days.
On learning that Memchoubi would be produced before the Court this afternoon, a large number of women activists of the Apunba Lup stormed the Court complex.
As Memchoubi came out from the Court, the women activist blocked her way and raised slogans.
They tried to prevent Memchoubi from being taken away by police by forming barricades at three different fronts.
The first human barricade was formed at the Court's verandah, second in front of the vehicle in which Memchoubi would be taken away and the last, at the Courts' gate.
As the police tried to take away Memchoubi past the three-layered barricade, there was an intense scuffle between the Meira Paibis and police.
Eventually, police managed to repulse the Meira Paibis and took away Memchoubi.
