Dimapur, April 26 2013 :
The NSCN-IM has refuted to reports in various newspapers including that of a national daily saying the outfit will hold the next round of talks with the Government of India on April 29 and 30 in New Delhi.
The NSCN-IM also refuted the reports that the outfit's general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah had left Hebron Camp (Nagaland) for New Delhi on April 24 .
"These are rubbish reports.
Our Ato Kilonser ( Th.Muivah) is very much in our Hebron Camp," clarified a senior NSCN-IM leader today while talking to Newmai News Network.
He said the outfit's chairman Isak Chisi Swu had gone to New Delhi two days ago as he has some personal work.
According to the NSCN-IM senior leader, Isak Chisi Swu will return to Nagaland soon.
The NSCN-IM leader also clarified that there is no such plan as of now to hold the next round of talks.
"From where did these newspapers get the wrong information?" asked the NSCN-IM leader.
It can be pointed out here that the NSCN-IM is waiting the decision of the Government of India with regard to the Indo-Naga political issue.
In a recent interview with Newmai News Network, NSCN-IM general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah had said that they had done whatever was to be done and they are waiting as to what decision the Government of India will take in this connection.
Th Muivah also had said that the outfit 'is not in the position' to tell the time-frame when the settlement would be made.
"What we want is solution to the Naga political issue.
And what the Government of India wants is the solution to the Naga political issue.
So given this point of situation we are hopeful of a settlement.
However, it is hard to say when," NSCN-IM general secretaryThuingaleng Muivah had stated recently.
Mention may be made here that late last year, the speculations had climaxed to the zenith that the protracted Naga political problem was about to be settled in a few months time.
The speculations were even fuelled by the comment of Union Home Minister who had said that "settlement" to the Naga issue would be brought about by March, 2013 or before the Nagaland Assembly elections.
The Joint Legislature Forum (JLF) formed by the 60 MLAs of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly of the previous tenure had also added gist to the talk.
