An eco trekking programme was organised by the Royal Riders Manipur under its month long '2nd Remember Mother Nature' campaign with the objective of conservation of nature by preserving the environment.
Around 30 students from different schools took part in the programme held at Punshi Lok at the uphill of the Langol hill.
Before the trekking programme kicked off, the students were aware of the eco-trekking by the instructors of mountaineering.
Volunteers of Wildlife and Habitat Protection Society (WAHPS) camping at the Punshi Lok extended warm welcome to the students taking part in the trekking.
They also demonstrated the medicinal plants and other beneficial plants growing in the area.
They also advised the students to take active role in the protection and preservation of the environment.
Mountaineering instructors also demonstrated the trekking and equipments use in the trekking in the hills and mountains.
