Ambulance, vehicle damaged

Kangpokpi, December 21 2016:
Bandh supporters of Sekmai and Koirengei damaged an ambulance and vehicle of Kangpokpi Community Health Centre.
Medical Officer in-charge of Kangpokpi CHC Dr Simte and his staff members were heading towards Imphal on December 19 afternoon when bandh supporters near Sekmai damaged the windshield of the vehicle.
They reportedly managed to reach Imphal late in the evening.
In another incident, an ambulance of Kangpokpi CHC which was heading towards Kangpokpi was damaged near Koirengei by bandh supporters yesterday at around 11.30 am.
A lady doctor who was inside the ambulance revealed her identity and even showed her identity card but the bandh supporters refused to let them go.
The backside windshield of the ambulance was completely damaged.
Strongly condemning the incidents, Kangpkpi CHC appealed to the bandh supporters not to harass doctors who are on duty.
