They also gave financial support to the injured persons.
Vice-chairman of the JAC constituted against Robinhood's death, Raghubir Salam informed media persons that the rumour about the body of Robinhood being handed over to family members is baseless and false.
He also urged people not to spread such false rumours.
He also expressed concern over accusing the students of mob gathering and carrying weapons which may inflict grievous injury in the police FIR.
He said that the FIR has recorded that around 400 students were staging protest although the number of students gathered on that day was only 150.He also mentioned that the FIR also recorded that police, according to the order of the Executive Magistrate, resorted to firing of rubber bullets, tear gas shells and baton charging to control the agitating students.
After Robinhood was seriously injured in the police action, no police personnel came forward to admit him to a nearby hospital, he added.
He was later admitted to the hospital by students on a scooter, Raghubir said.
He stated that the JAC requested the DGP to not only direct the police station concerned to lodge a fresh FIR based on facts but also requested him to take action against the personnel responsible for Robinhood's death.
He urged the general public to carry on the agitation until the demand of Inner Line Permit System is fully implemented.
