Missing student found working as handyman

Imphal, August 16 2011:
UNACCO School student Robinson who went missing since July 31 was seen working as a truck handyman at Manipur.
14 year old Khwairakpam Robinson s/o Deben of Kanto Khullen is reading in class VI at UNACCO School.
Speaking to media persons at UNACCO School premises at Khongman this afternoon, its chairman N Irabanta said that Robinson was found at Dimapur yesterday.
On learning about the presence of Robinson at Dimapur, officials of UNACCO sister units of Jorhat and Guwahati and Imphal staff were sent there to confirm the report.
After confirming the report, Robinson was brought to Imphal on a flight this morning.
Irabanta said that the school authority has been investigating into the possible reasons for Robinson to flee away from the school.
"For the moment, Robinson would be handed over to his parents.
But further actions would be decided only after the investigation is completed", Irabanta said.
He also conveyed gratitude to all the people who helped in searching and locating the student.
Truck driver Shantikumar said that he saw a boy getting into a truck parked in front of him at North AOC at about 8.30 am of July 31 .
"The truck parked in front of me had no helper.
They boy did not give any reply when we talked to him at Sekmai", Shantikumar said.
"Thinking that he had found a helper, my colleague brought the boy along and reached Guwahati", he conveyed.
On the return journey, the two trucks came across each other at Lahorijan.
This time too, the boy did not give any definite reply.
First, he said that he was from Khonghampat and then he would say that he was from Sekmai.
"On contacting some of my acquaintances at Imphal, it was known that the boy was the missing.
Since then we kept a vigil on his movement", Shantikumar said.
Later, some UNACCO staff came to Dimapur and took the boy to Imphal, he said.
